What We Can & Can’t Cut
A quick guide to the materials and thicknesses we work with most often. If your material isn’t listed, just ask and we’ll confirm what’s possible.
Materials We Typically Cut
Acrylic (incl. mirror): 1–6 mm as standard, up to 8 mm by arrangement
Birch / hardwood ply: 0.8–6 mm as standard, up to 9 mm by arrangement
MDF: 1–9 mm (laser-grade or clean, flat boards)
Card & paper: 0.3–1.5 mm
Engraving only: thicker sheets upto 200mm.
Materials We Can Engrave
Engraving is possible on:
- Acrylic sheets and panels
- Hardwood plaques and plywood
- Pre-cut shapes and components
- Slate
For engraving-only work, let us know thickness and overall size so we can confirm clearance.
Materials We Do Not Cut
For safety and quality reasons we do not cut:
- PVC, vinyl or any chlorine-based plastics
- Polycarbonate / Lexan sheets
- Foam boards with unknown cores
- Metals (steel, aluminium, brass, etc.)
- Glass, ceramics or stone
